Ive the app engineers actually put their resources into this app, as well as app designers, this could be the most useful Apple app out there. Make it much easier to navigate, better looking, and way more simple (that doesnt mean removing features).

The app used to be better, now that I updated its ruined. Wish I didnt pay for this app. I want my money back!!

This app used to work great, but now it only changes songs via forward and backward buttons in the already selected album. Theres no way to play a different artist or album. When you click on a different song, theres no response. Need an update to fix this!!

As other reviewers have pointed out, the latest update breaks the ability to select songs with this app. Cant believe Apple pushed out such a terrible update and is taking so long to fix it. Apple, you cant tell people to build their entertainment systems around your technology and then break a core function. ?

I have used Remote for several years to control my music for my stage hypnosis shows. Now, using my old laptop, I can control the song that is playing but not change songs. I tried to use it with a newer computer and cannot connect at all. The instructions consistently say to click on the remote button in iTunes to connect my phone to it, but the button does not exist! Very frustrating that I now have to either leave the stage to change songs or hire someone to push a button and run my music. What happened to Macs just work?!?

When I want to skip to the next song, it plays the previous song on the list??? What the heck!

Until it stopped working when I updated on April 2, 2017. After using it for 3.5 years it suddenly doesnt work? Now, no matter how I configure and reinstall everything, and I do mean everything, remote app no longer sees my Apple TV. Isnt it a pretty fundamental problem if the remote app cant see the device it is designed to control?

This app is trash!!! Way too many bugs for an Apple branded product! Cant wait till Apple gives it a little attention and streamlines it to work with Apple Music, that I pay $15 a month for! Smh Apple!

App crashes every time I try to fast forward.

The remote app wont allow me to click a song and play it in my iTunes library anymore rendering this app useless. It seems as if this is purposeful development sabotage in order to get people off their home music collections and onto Apple Music. The problem is I have so much content that is not available via streaming services and probably never will be.

Why doesnt this work with Apple TV 4? This is just a remote on the iPhone - may as well just use the remote that came with the Apple TV. This app serves no purpose whatsoever for Apple TV users. Now theyll just move on to some other promise and get everybody excited, but wont actually get it to work. I have a remote app for my Yamaha receiver that shows me the settings, gives me channel and track information, lets me select artist, album and track, etc. All without having to stand in front of the TV like I do with the Apple Remote. What a huge failure.

Its a pity that this app doesnt get more love from its developers. Apple Music is here in all its glory, and yet I cant control it from my phone. Siri support would also be top knotch. Also, now that music lives in the cloud, introducing some sort of iTunes Handoff doesnt seem so farfetched — being able to hear the same song transition from your computer to your phone (in perfect sync) as you run out of the front door to start your day...

Fix this, Apple. I used to use this all the time. Now, it almost never works.

Controls iTunes and Apple TV on same wifi. Options to send to various air play outputs. Works great from iPhone/iPad
