Looks neat but when you type a search in it wont find anything. Apple should at least test the app and upgrade tv4 so it works. It worked fine on tv3.

Something must be wrong with the app. When it works, it work great. Whenever I lock my phone while Im watching the Apple TV, I have to go back in and close it out. Otherwise, it just keeps flickering back and forth in the app. I have to close out the app and start all over. Very frustrating.

This is definitely the worst app. It has 4 buttons, all of which are not very useful and poorly labeled. Most of the control is done with a track pad that is VERY unprecise. I usually skip over what I want, selecting to the right and then left 5 or 6 times before I can get it to land on what I want.

I cannot even pair my phone with my Apple TV...

I could be wrong but it its only not working when there is NO internet. I have tried to use it just on the local network with no internet access and it stopped working.

I always lost my Apple TV remote in my room since how small it is and I love this app it has always worked for me!☺️l

Will not find my AppleTV. I open up the app and I get two options: "set up home sharing" or "add a device". If I choose to add a device it tells me to set up home sharing. If I set up home sharing first then the option to "add a device" is not there. Used to work great before Apple fixed it.

It goes from working to not working. I have two Apple TVs. Sometimes it will register one of them. Sometimes both of them. Sometimes neither one of them. And when it only registers one of them, its never the Apple TV Im actually trying to use.

This app is useful, but I can see a couples of possible improvements (other than the fact that the iPad version of it is still designed like it is meant to run on iOS 7). Either: - Apple Music integration Or: - integration as part of Apple Music app. The latter clearly makes more sense, since this app may be useful more as a feature, rather than its own standalone app. Either way: time to shake things up!

This app is clearly ill suited to fully utilize the latest model Apple TV. Can we get a keyboard to type in passwords and perform searches please?

Used it for years. Now it doesnt show up in app. Can stream from home sharing computer running iTunes but can not control my atv.

Everytime I close my phone and open it back up, remote glitches and app has to be closed and reopened. Just annoying...

It was working fine, then last night the select feature just stopped working. It scrolls and I can go back, but it wont let me select anything!!! Is anyone else having this problem?

I have had this app on my iPhone and iPads for over 3-4 years. It has consistently been inconsistent in working. It seems as if every time there is an update it drops all my Apple TVs (I have 4 in my home) and I have to always go reset the home sharing and start all over again. And most times even that doesnt work. For years I just chalked it up to a glitch or oversight in the update process but I have finally gotten sick and tired of it. It is so time consuming to have to go to 4 Apple TVs and redo this what seems like every 3-6 months, if that. I have 5 iPads and my lady and Is iPhones and I have to reset the remote app on all of them every time. All of my original remotes I keep tucked away in drawers not to have 5 remotes laid out in every room, usually just one (my direct tv remote). It is of the utmost convenience to be able to use the Apple TV remote App but it seems as this is one of the most difficult things Apple cant seem to get right for the life of them. The interface of the remote app is great, especially the ease of access to my iTunes music catalogue, especially when Im entertaining guests, but 9 out of 10 times the app doesnt work, it keeps saying turn on home sharing. My home sharing is on at all times as I am an audiophile. After all these inconsistencies I usually just stream via AirPlay or use YouTube via my smart tv because Apple has yet to get it right consistently. Greatly considering not renewing my iTunes Match subscription because I cant half use the Apple TV remote App!

This app doesnt work. And with the Apple TV keyboard being the way it is, were looking at other alternatives to watch everything but iTunes content.

Shame on Apple for releasing Apple Music and then having an app like this that only lets you control what you have to manually enter into your music library. No access to Apple radio unless you first set it running on your PC. Spotify has Apple totally beat on their functionality. Come on Apple, pay attention! Very disappointing.. It may send me back to Spotify if they cant respond to their customers paying $180 a year for their service.
