This has app has been a problem long enough

I recently installed this so that I could control my Apple TV which I recently got and when setting up the Remote app with the Apple TV it asked me to turn on home sharing on my app, and when I do so and type my username and password it says "home sharing is not available" and then proceeds to say "an apple device is trying to log into your account" and I press allow knowing that its probably just an installation bug and it then gives me a passcode that I cant type into my device due to it displaying on the exact same device Im trying to use. Please fix this Apple, this has app has been giving the lot of us issues and I think now would be the time to listen to us and meet our demands for better a better media remote software.
